Joma signs three-year deal as technical partner of Cluj Running Festival and Brașov Running Festival

International sportswear brand Joma has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with the organizers of Cluj Running Festival and Brașov Running Festival, becoming the official technical partner of both events.
The agreement marks an important step in the continued growth of the two races, further strengthening their position within the international road running calendar while increasing Romania’s visibility on the global athletics stage.
As part of the partnership, Joma will supply the official race T-shirts for all participants, as well as kits for the volunteers and the organizing teams. The brand will also work closely with the organizers to develop a dedicated range of co-branded merchandise reflecting the identity of the events. In addition, Joma will support the international promotion and long-term development of both festivals.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with two of the most exciting road running events in Southeast Europe,” said Marina López, Marketing Director and CEO of Joma Sport. “At Joma, athletics is at the core of our global identity, and this partnership allows us to bring our technical expertise and performance-driven apparel closer to runners of all levels, while supporting the growth of running in Romania and enhancing the international visibility of these events.”
“This contract is not just a marketing and sponsorship partnership, but a strategic pact to develop and promote running in Romania. Joma recognized what we have already built in Brașov and chose to support our vision for the years ahead, providing both technical expertise and a broader initiative to grow the running market in Romania — something that truly motivates and excites us,” said Daniel Santa, event organizer.
Cluj Running Festival, set to take place on June 27–28, 2026, will be the first road race in Cluj-Napoca to bring world-class elite athletes onto the city’s streets. Certified by World Athletics, the event builds on the successful model established in Brașov and will feature races for elite runners, amateurs, children, and juniors.
Launched in 2021, Brașov Running Festival has quickly become the leading athletics event in the World Athletics calendar in Southeast Europe and one of the highest-ranked road races globally. Its flagship race, the “tRUNsylvania International 10K,” holds Elite Label status and attracts top international athletes each year alongside thousands of amateur runners. The 2026 edition of the Brașov Running Festival will take place on October 3–4.
Athletics plays a central role in Joma Sport’s global identity. The brand is the official sponsor of Romanian Athletics Federation, supporting the development of the sport from grass roots level through to high performance and elite competition. Joma also works closely with leading Romanian athletes such as Stella Rutto, Liliana Dragomir & Leonard Mitrică, providing them with high-performance apparel designed to meet the demands of elite competition.
